Gold prices fall by Rs 8,500 per tola in 2 trading days

Kathmandu, May 17

The price of gold has continued to decline, falling by Rs 8,500 per tola within just two trading days.

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association has fixed the price of gold at Rs 294,000 per tola for Sunday.

Compared to the previous trading day, the price of gold dropped by Rs 4,500 today. On the previous trading day as well, the price had fallen by Rs 4,000, bringing it down to Rs 298,500 per tola.

Last Thursday, gold was traded at Rs 302,500 per tola. With declines recorded on Friday and Sunday, the total decrease in gold prices has reached Rs 8,500 per tola.

Silver prices have also declined. Silver, which was traded at Rs 5,390 per tola on the previous trading day, has fallen to Rs 5,060 per tola today. Last Thursday, silver was traded at Rs 5,745 per tola.
