The price of gold increased by Rs 7,100 per tola on Friday, reaching Rs 258,000 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. The previous day’s rate was Rs 250,900 per tola.
In the past month, gold prices in Nepal have risen by around Rs 43,000 per tola. On September 15, the price was Rs 215,200 per tola.
The surge follows an upward trend in international markets, where gold prices have climbed to around USD 4,370 per ounce (one ounce equals 2.43 tolas).
Similarly, silver prices also rose by Rs 75 per tola, reaching Rs 3,350 compared to Rs 3,275 the previous day.
