The price of gold in the Nepali market has risen sharply by nearly Rs 10,000 per tola following the Dashain festival. During the holiday period, prices were not adjusted, but after the festival, a sudden revision led to a significant increase, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
On September 28 (Ashwin 12), gold was priced at Rs 223,200 per tola. After an increase of Rs 9,900, it reached Rs 233,100 per tola on Monday. Compared to Sunday, today’s price rose by Rs 2,500, as gold was traded at Rs 230,600 per tola the previous day. Today’s rate marks the highest gold price recorded so far.
Similarly, the price of silver has also gone up by Rs 150 per tola after Dashain. On Ashwin 12, silver was traded at Rs 2,810 per tola, which climbed to Rs 2,960 per tola on Monday. Compared to the previous day, the price of silver increased by Rs 30.
