Gold price hits record high at Rs 309,000 per tola

Kathmandu, January 26

Gold prices in the Nepali market have reached a new all-time high.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold rose by Rs 5,200 per tola on Monday to Rs 309,000, the highest ever recorded.

On Sunday, gold was traded at Rs 303,800 per tola. Compared to Friday, the price had increased by Rs 2,400 by Sunday.

Last Friday, gold was priced at Rs 301,400 per tola, up from Rs 292,200 per tola the previous Thursday. On Friday alone, the price had surged by Rs 9,200 per tola.

Silver prices also increased on Monday. Silver is being traded at Rs 6,765 per tola, up from Rs 6,480 per tola on Sunday.

On Friday, silver was priced at Rs 6,190 per tola.
