The price of gold fell by Rs 700 per tola on Wednesday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 236,300 per tola for the day, down from Rs 237,000 on Tuesday.
On October 17, gold had reached a record high of Rs 258,000 per tola. As of 11 am Nepali time on Wednesday, gold was trading at USD 3,958 per ounce in the international market. Meanwhile, the price of silver increased by Rs 45 per tola, rising from Rs 2,920 on Tuesday to Rs 2,965 on Wednesday.
