Gold price drops by Rs 5,500 per tola in a single day

Kathmandu, May 28

The price of gold dropped sharply by Rs 5,500 per tola in a single day on Thursday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the decline in the international market has also affected the domestic market.

The federation fixed the price of gold at Rs 285,000 per tola for the day. Gold was traded at Rs 290,500 per tola the previous day.

Gold prices have been showing a downward trend in recent days. Last Thursday, gold was traded at Rs 293,800 per tola. The all-time high was recorded on Magh 15, when the price reached Rs 339,000 per tola.

Similarly, the price of silver decreased by Rs 215 per tola. Silver, which was traded at Rs 5,080 per tola the previous day, fell to Rs 4,865 per tola on Thursday. Last Thursday, silver was traded at Rs 5,050 per tola.
