Kathmandu, December 24

The Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal on Sunday suggested that President Bidya Devi Bhandari immediately enact the National Assembly ordinance to give a solution to the existing political crisis.

The party’s Chairman Upendra Yadav told President Bhandari today that incumbent Prime Minister She Bahadur Deuba would not quit till the President enacted the ordinance.

“We told her that the longer she puts the ordinance on hold, the longer Deuba gets chance to stay in power,” Forum-Nepal’s Co-Chairman Rajendra Shrestha, who accompanied Yadav, told media after the meeting.

Shrestha said they also said that the government formation process would not move forward till the formation of National Assembly; therefore the ordinance should be issued as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the party also informed the President that it supported the single transferable voting for the National Assembly, according to Shrestha.

Earlier, Bhandari had summoned leaders of Forum-Nepal and Rastriya Janata Party Nepal to her office at Sheetal Niwas for a consultation on current political situations.
