Kathmandu, November 11
Former state minister Khobhari Raya, who was arrested at a gambling den in Kathmandu some days ago, has been released on bail.
Raya and nine others were arrested in possession of Rs 153,000 cash for gambling, but the Kathmandu District Court released them on a bail of Rs 3,000.
SP Somendra Singh Rathaur of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range says all 10 including Raya have already been released following the court order.
The controversial Raya was a leader of the Sadbhawana Party. In 2017, however, he joined the then CPN-Maoist Centre but is not active in politics since then.
