Foreign Minister Arzu Rana to depart for Bangkok today

Kathmandu, April 20

Minister for Foreign Affairs Arzu Rana Deuba is set to leave for Bangkok today to participate in the 81st session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), scheduled from April 21 to 25.

Deuba will lead the Nepali delegation, which includes officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Planning Commission, and the Embassy of Nepal in Thailand. The session is being held under the theme “Leveraging Regional Cooperation for Sustainable Urban Development in Asia and the Pacific.”

As Nepal currently holds the chair of UNESCAP, Minister Deuba is expected to preside over the session and deliver an address on behalf of Nepal.
