Kathmandu, August 13
The Nepal Telecom says it has decided to provide short messaging service (SMS) free of cost till Tuesday within its network across the country.
The new offer intends to help victims, their families and relatives communicate with each other as telephone lines have been disturbed in the wake of recent floods and landslides.
Likewise, the service can support stakeholders and relief organisations to meet to the needy and vice versa, the company says.
The service will be effective from this evening.
Meanwhile, the company’s co-spokesperson Sobhan Adhikari has requested its customers not to misuse the facility as it is launched for the humanitarian cause.
