Kathmandu, November 16
An unidentified gang on Thursday hurled an improvised explosive device targeting CPN-Maoist Centre leader and the leftist alliance’s candidate for House of Representatives elections in Gorkha-2, Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
Shrestha was travelling on his vehicle while the explosive was hurled, near Sirdikhola in Gorkha Municipality-10, while the attack was made.
The IED,, however, did not cause any loss, according to police.
Meanwhile, a police team has been sent to the incident site for further investigation.
Incidents of attacks on poll candidates are on the rise in various parts of the country.
