Kathmandu, May 5

A Nepal Police official has been accused of misbehaving with one of the election commissioners at the Election Commission.

Consequently, the official has been sent back to the Ministry of Home Affairs for further investigation and action.

A commission source says SP Dipendra Shahi, stationed at the joint election cell established for the local elections to be held next week, misbehaved with Election Commissioner Janaki Tuladhar after the vehicles carrying them collided with each other on Wednesday afternoon.

The source says the commission has already written to the Ministry of Home Affairs to launch an investigation and action.
