Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli

Kathmandu, September 11

A catheter placed in Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s heart has been removed by doctors at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on Wednesday. The catheter was placed in the prime minister’s heart by doctors in Singapore.

“We have removed the catheter placed in PM Oli’s heart by doctors in Singapore while doing the plasmapheresis,” explained heart expert Dr Arun Sayami of Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre in the TUTH.

Dr Sayami informed that his team only took around 15 minutes to remove the catheter after which PM Oli returned to his residence.

“He is healthy,” added Dr Sayami.

PM Oli, after going through plasmapheresis treatment in Singapore, returned to Kathmandu on September 6.
