Dhanusha road accident kills 4 minors

Four children died in a road accident in Sabaila of the Dhanusha district in southern Nepal on Monday evening.

A preliminary report suggests 19-year-old Surendra Yadav was riding a motorbike (Ja 6 Pa 6739), carrying the four children on the pillion, at Barkurwa, Sabaila municipality-12 of the district.

As the river lost control over the vehicle, it crashed, seriously injuring Rajul Yadav (15), Laxmi Yadav (12), Bikas Yadav (age not revealed), and Sumit Yadav (14). All of them, the residents of Sabaila-2, died during treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Janakpurdham, according to DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet of the Dhanusha District Police Office.

Meanwhile, the bike rider Surendra Yadav is injured and undergoing treatment at the same health facility.

Further investigation is underway.
