Gorkha, November 15

CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli says the Nepali Congress will not get a chance to lead the government anymore.

Addressing a mass meeting organised by the leftist alliance in Palungtar of Gorkha today, Oli said, “The old tree [the election symbol of Nepali Congress] will fall down on November 26 and December 7. The old tree has already been hollow now.”

“I want to sympathise with the Nepali Congress,” Oli said.

In another context, Oli also expressed his pity over Naya Shakti Nepal chief Baburam Bhattarai who is contesting the polls in Gorkha-2 against the leftist alliance’s candidate, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, with Nepali Congress support.

He said Bhattarai’s party has just its chief and some artists.

Oli and CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal were in Gorkha to solicit votes for Shrestha.
