Kathmandu, November 24

The Department of Foreign Employment has raided recruitment companies that allegedly interviewed foreign job aspirants without obtaining a permit required to do so.

Whereas the department raided and confiscated documents from two companies on Monday, another company has been raided on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a vehicle belonging to a diplomatic agency in Kathmandu has also been found inside the premises of Hope International, the company raided today. It means some foreign missions in Kathmandu might be involved in the illegal act, claims the department.

Over 400 people were being interviewed by these companies, it has been learned.

As per the foreign employment rule in Nepal, a recruitment company has to obtain a permit from the department to conduct interviews with foreign job aspirants. Likewise, the department has to be informed of the schedule.
