Department of Foreign Employment makes ID cards mandatory to curb brokers and agents

Department of Foreign Employment

Kathmandu, August 21

The Department of Foreign Employment has now made identity cards mandatory in its building. The Department has made identity cards mandatory due to overcrowding and the presence of brokers and unregistered agents.

The department has issued a notice asking everyone wanting to enter its building to wear an identity card issued by the Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies.

Those who do not possess this card have been asked to carry government documents revealing their identity.

The department has said that identity cards were made mandatory because of the increase in the number of service users in the department and the overcrowding has made it difficult to provide services.

The department has also informed the Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies asking it to inform its staff.
