Pokhara, November 12
After several media reported that Gandaki Provincial Youth and Sports Minister Rajeev Gurung, more popularly known as Deepak Manange from his gangster background, designated his personal assistant Ronit Gurung as the acting minister and his spokesperson, the minister corrected the decision.
Following the exposure, Minister Gurung removed his PA Gurung as the acting minister and spokesperson on Friday.
However, Manange says PA Gurung kept the nameplate as the acting minister in his absence and he was not aware of this. “Now, I have already removed him,” he says.
Nonetheless, Manange complains the media targeted him as he was doing some good works for the development of youth and sports.
Earlier, Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel had also directed Minister Deepak Manange to remove Ronit Gurung from his office.
