Kathmandu, June 16
A ‘Connecting Karnali’ campaign has been launched in Kathmandu to connect Karnali with the federal capital through words, visuals, pictures and products.

Bharatabandhu Thapa, the organiser and concept creator of “Connecting Karnali”, said that the campaign started under the leadership of the Manghari Foundation and will continue for 10 months.

There are 10 districts in Karnali province. The 10-month-long campaign will start on the first Saturday of every month and will last for three days. The beginning of the campaign showcases special art, culture and heritage from the district.

Dailekh’s exhibition continues from Saturday, June 15 at NB Center in New Baneshwar, Kathmandu. A total of 32 photos and 5 videos can be seen in the exhibition which will last until Monday.

Besides, products related to the production of Karnali, Marsi rice, beans, millet, millet flour, cloth, and materials produced by the Raute community have also been put on display.

Most of the pictures in the exhibition were captured by the organiser and Bishal Sunar. One picture was captured by Harihar Singh Rathore.

The videos are related to Dailekh’s culture, heritage, nature, oil and petroleum exploration.

Sosek Nepal, Dailekhi Seva Samaj, has started the programme of Dailekh district.
