Lalitpur, January 24

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested three individuals, including Ranbir Yadav, the survey supervisor at the Survey Office, Lalitpur on bribery charges.

Acting on a tip-off regarding their alleged demand for a bribe from a service seeker seeking a land certificate after demarcation, the CIAA conducted an operation.

In addition to Yadav, para-legal service providers Dinesh Banjara and Binod Adhikari were also taken into custody from the office premises.

The arrests were carried out on Tuesday, as confirmed by CIAA Spokesperson Narahari Ghimire.

It has been reported that the CIAA confiscated Rs 250,000, suspected to be a bribe, from them. The arrestees are under investigation.
