Kathmandu, October 4
Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana has denied the allegation that he sought one to two positions in the cabinet for his people.
Earlier on Sunday, several media reports had claimed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has been unable to expand his cabinet also because the chief justice wants him to include his favourite people in the cabinet.
A day after that, officials of the Nepal Bar Association’s Supreme Court chapter met Rana, asking him to clarify his position on the issue.
In response, Rana said the charge was not true, but it was just a joke and hence he would not take it seriously.
