Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav has said full support and cooperation from every quarter is expected in regard with the poll-related activities so as to make such historic events successful.
In his greetings on the occasion of the Nepal Sambat 1138, Tihar and Chhath festivals today, the CEC said, “The EC appeals to all political parties and would-be candidates to fully abide by the election code of conduct while registering nominations and running the election publicity campaign.”
He urged political parties to bear in mind the principles of proportional and inclusive representation while choosing candidates for the nearing elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies.
“With the successful completion of local level elections in the all 77 districts of seven provinces as per the new federal setup, the base for democracy has further consolidated. Now, the time has come to successfully conclude the both elections so as build a sound and prosperous federal democratic republic,” the CEC stated in the message.
