Bollywood Star Sanjay Dutt visits Pashupatinath Temple, returns to Delhi today

Kathmandu, January 9

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt visited the Pashupatinath Temple on Thursday to offer prayers. He arrived at the temple under tight security arrangements, sources said.

According to sources, Dutt performed special rituals at the temple. He arrived in Kathmandu from Dubai on Thursday afternoon aboard a private jet and is scheduled to return to New Delhi later today after completing the temple visit.

The actor stayed overnight at the Dusit Princess Hotel in Lazimpat. He also visited Khumaltar on Thursday to meet CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Dutt had previously expressed regret for being unable to attend the wedding of Dahal’s granddaughter, Smita, and had promised to visit soon. Fulfilling that commitment, he met Dahal during this visit.

On Thursday night, Dutt inaugurated the Badshah Casino, recently brought into operation by Hotel Barahi. Following his arrival in Kathmandu, several Nepali artists were seen taking photographs with the Bollywood star.

Interestingly, two films featuring Sanjay Dutt—Dhurandhar and The Raja Saab—are currently being screened in Nepali cinemas. The Raja Saab was released nationwide starting today.
