Dhangadhi, November 5
The bodies of all four labourers, who had gone missing after being trapped in an under-construction tunnel of the Kalanga Hydropower Project at Bungal of Bajhang district, have been taken out.
According to police, a team of Nepal Army personnel that had gone there from Kathmandu had found them dead some 1,300 metres away from the tunnel’s opening. The cause of death is believed to be lack of oxygen.
The deceased are Karna Bahadur Shahi, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi of Daileksh, Mahendra Saud of Achham and Shershing Dhami of Bajhang, police say.
