Birgunj, June 10
Police have arrested the owner of Asia Medicare Hospital Pvt. Ltd. for defrauding over Rs 50 million.
District Police Office said Suraj Kumar Saraff (28) was arrested after police received complaints from various people. Police say that Saraff has been booked under banking offence and that further investigation is ongoing.
Police officials say that they have been receiving complaints from shops and agencies through which Saraff has bought equipment for the hospital. He hasn’t paid any one of them.
Banks and jewellers have also filed complaints against Saraff for not repaying them on time. Saraff has taken a loan of Rs 23 million from NIC Asia alone.
