Kathmandu, October 21

The Maoist party-led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ has announced protest programmes against the government.

The party, whose activities have been banned by the government citing they were terrorists, announced the protest programmes against the government’s poor response to the Covid-19 crisis. The party has also accused the government of its involvement in corruption.

As per the party’s announcement, the protest will be held from October 31 to November 5. Their programme will begin with a corner meeting on October 31, followed by pamphlet distribution on November 2 and a mass rally on November 5.

In the statement issued by the party, it has accused the government of being irresponsible towards the people and the nation, stating its actions have threatened the nationality, democracy and public life, making them more vulnerable.

The party has also said the government has been inhumane in its action by not prioritising PCR tests.
