Industrialist Binod Chaudhary has given a denial statement in the Bansbari Leather Factory land grab case.

According to a source from the District Government Attorney’s office, Chaudhary stated that the government land of Bansbari Leather Factory was transferred legally to the current CG Chandbagh Residency.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) called Chaudhary to the District Government Attorney’s Office on Thursday for an investigation into the Bansbari Leather Factory land grab case.

He started the District Government Attorney’s office at Ramshahpath on Thursday from 8 to 11 am. He stated that according to the decision of the Board of Directors of the Bansbari Leather Factory, the land came in the name of Champion Footwear Pvt(currently CG Chandbagh Residency).

Quoting Chaudhary’s statement, the source said, “Except for some minor irregularities, nothing unlawful has occurred. The purchase of land has been done by the law as decided by the government’s executive committee.”

During the statement, Chaudhary was told that the case would not proceed if he moved forward with the land return process. However, sources said that Chaudhary has stated that he is ready to abide by the law as there has been no wrongdoing from his side.
