The suspension imposed on four national football players including sensational striker Bimal Gharti Magar has ended. Consequently, Magar will be playing his only A Division League match for this season this Saturday.

Magar will play on behalf of Machhindra Club tomorrow, informed the club’s coach Prabesh Katuwal amidst a press meet on Friday. The club will compete with Tribhuvan Army Club to lift the league title.

Earlier, in November last year, Magar, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Anjan Bista and Santosh Tamang were found to have gone a nightclub in Kathmandu on the eve of their scheduled flight to Bhutan for the FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Kuwait. Besides removing them from the qualifier team, the All Nepal Football Association had suspended Magar and Rajbanshi for 90 days and Bista and Tamang for 45 days. All were fined Rs 50,000 each. It was stated that the term of suspension would begin on December 13.

However, responding to an appeal filed by the players, ANFA had decided to consider the day after their club visit, November 16, as the first day of their suspension.
