The newly reconstructed Ranipokhari has been opened to the public this year for Bhai Tika.
Brothers and sisters who do not have siblings or could not meet for various reasons gathered at Ranipokhari to celebrate Bhai Tika.
The 2015 earthquake had damaged Ranipokhari, affecting the Bhai Tika ritual traditionally performed at the Bal Gopaleshwar Temple located at its center. The temple, along with Ranipokhari, has recently been reconstructed.
