Kathmandu, July 19

Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah has questioned Nepal Electricity Authority and Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited about the damaged roads in the city.

The government-run utility services have kept the road they dug for laying electricity wires and water pipes still unrepaired and Shah has urged them to do it as soon as possible.

In an infrastructure development coordination meeting in Kathmandu today, Mayor Shah said the city government was committed to repairing damaged roads if there was anything it needed to do.

Shah said the condition of existing infrastructure should improve before constructing new sophisticated structures including flyovers and underpasses.
