The Supreme Court has received yet another writ petition, this time from members of the ‘dissolved’ House of Representatives members demanding that the government’s decision to dissolve the House be revoked.

The apex court has already received 11 writ petitions with the same demand.

Dev Gurung, Krishna Bhakta Pokharel, Shashi Shrestha, and Ram Kumari Jhankri filed the writ petition. They have claimed they were deprived of the right to represent their constituencies due to the dissolution of the House.

Pokharel says President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota have been made defendants in the case.
