Amazfit GTR 2 new version is now available in Nepal. See what major features it has

Amazfit GTR 2 new version has been officially launched in Nepal.

The new version of GTR 2 has been released with a number of Amazfit watches including Bip 3 series and Amazfit GTR 2 new version. Brother Mart Pvt Ltd is the authorised distributor of Amazfit products in Nepal right now. Certain features from the company’s best offering, Amazfit GTR 3 Pro, have been incorporated into the GTR 2 new version also.

Amazfit GTR 2 new version has similar styling and features to the one seen in the GTR 2 old version. The watch has a curved display with lots of watch faces to choose from. It also has several health features with smart recognition of several sports. Similarly, the users can receive calls from the watch and it also has a decent battery backup.

Amazfit GTR 2 new version flaunts a circular display. It has an aluminium alloy body built that makes the watch light on the wrist. The strap on the watch is either leather or silicone. Meanwhile, the silicone strap on the watch can be hit-or-miss. The circular display has two buttons on the side. The top button displays different health measurement features and the bottom one can be used for selecting different exercise modes.

Amazfit GTR 2 new version weighs lightly at 32 grams (body only) and is available in black and grey colour variants.

On the front, Amazfit GTR 2 new version has a 1.39-inch circular AMOLED display with a resolution of 454*454 pixels and 326 PPI density. The display is protected by tempered glass and has an anti-fingerprint vacuum coating for smooth and smudge-free use. Furthermore, there are more than 50 watch faces that the user can choose from. The user also has an option to upload their own personal image as the watch face. 

Health and fitness tracking

Amazfit GTR 2 new version is equipped with a BioTracker 2 PPG high-precision optical sensor. The watch has health tracking features like 24- hour heart rate monitoring, blood-oxygen saturation measurement, sleep monitoring, all-day stress level monitoring and the Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) health assessment system.

Amazfit GTR 2 new version also has more than 90 sports modes and has smart recognition of a few indoor and outdoor sports like walking, running, cycling, swimming and elliptical. Though the watch has smart recognition, it seems that it cannot differentiate between outdoor, cycling and motorbike rides. The user can also manually select the sports mode and after the workout is complete, the watch will produce an analytical report of the workout, which is viewable from the mobile phone as well.

The watch not only tracks but also provides alerts to the user in case of irregular or abnormal heartbeat. Similarly, if the user is idle for a long period, the watch notifies them to stand up and walk for at least a minute.

Connectivity, battery life and other features

Amazfit GTR 2 new version can be connected to both Android and iOS through the Zepp app. However, to be able to connect to the watch, the device of the user should be compatible. The OS of the device should either have Android 5.0 or higher in the case of Android and iOS 10 or higher if the user has an Apple product. The watch can be connected to the device via Bluetooth and by connecting the watch with a smartphone or a tablet, the user can unlock various features and have a comprehensive display of their health reports.

By connecting the watch with a smartphone, the user can also control the music and even play it from the watch itself. It will also allow the watch to receive an incoming call and have a conversation through the watch itself. It will also display the notifications of the different apps that the user has on their smartphone. The user can modify and limit the apps’ notifications as per their requirement.

Powering the watch is a 471mAh non-removable battery and the company claims the watch will last up to 14 days on regular use. With heavy use, the battery of the watch is said to last for six days. The watch gets charged with a magnetic charger and will get fully charged in about 2.5 hours.

Amazfit GTR 2 new version also supports GPS+ GLONASS positioning. It also has an inbuilt speaker, microphone and support linear motor. Amazfit GTR 2 new version has 5ATM certification and can be used even during rainfall and swimming. Furthermore, the watch gets a wear detection function that will lock the watch when the user takes it off.

The price of the Amazfit GTR 2 new version is Rs 20,499.
