Kathmandu, March 24

After the government imposed a nationwide lockdown in its bid to control the coronavirus infection from Tuesday morning, thereby halting the operation of domestic flights also, major airline companies say they will refund the fare to the passengers who have bought tickets for the next one week.

As the lockdown lasts till March 31, no flights will take place inside the country. However, in its previous announcement last week, the government had suspended international flights only and hence the companies had sold tickets for the week.

Now, the customers can reschedule their tickets or claim the refund, inform Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines and Summit Air among others.

The customers have been told to contact the agencies through which they bought the tickets for the refund.
