Advocate Acharya files candidacy for Nepali Congress central member

Advocate Pawan Acharya has filed his candidacy for central member at the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.

Acharya is running for central member in the open youth category. A convention delegate from Baglung, he will compete in the category for those under 35. The party statute provides for 21 central members under 35 to be chosen by election.

He has been active in student politics, party organisation and policy work. Involved in organisation building, youth participation and policy debates, Acharya has spent the past four years assisting Congress lawmakers with parliamentary work.

“I am a candidate for central member with practical experience in student politics, the study of parliamentary practice, legislative processes and policy making,” Acharya said.

Acharya also played an active role in launching, managing and running the “Mission Rojgari”
