Kathmandu, November 8
Police have seized illegally transported mobile phone accessories worth more than Rs 700,000 in Rupandehi.
A police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Lumbini, seized the items from Masina in Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality-11 at around 6 am on Sunday.
According to police, the items were being transported on an Indian-registered motorcycle bearing registration number UP 55 AN 0830.
The seized items include 1,031 mobile phone tempered glass protectors, 240 curved glasses with glue, 43 iPhone batteries, 100 AirPods, 146 iPhone back panels, six Android back panels and 103 Android batteries.
The estimated value of the seized goods is Rs 662,670.
The motorcycle used to transport the items has been valued at Rs 50,000.
Police said the total value of the seized goods and the motorcycle amounts to Rs 712,670. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
