Kathmandu, October 26
Fifteen people were injured when an SUV met with an accident on the Siddhicharan Highway at Maruwa in Katari Municipality-4, Udayapur, on Monday morning.
According to police, the SUV, bearing registration number Province 3-01-023 Cha 6506, went out of control after its brakes failed and fell about 10 metres off the road.
The injured were rescued and taken to Katari Hospital for treatment.
Police said 71-year-old Ram Bahadur Magar of Katari Municipality-2, Udayapur, was referred to Biratnagar for further treatment.
Another injured person, 29-year-old Nirp Bahadur Khadka of Katari Municipality-11, sustained minor injuries.
Police said further investigation into the accident is underway.
