Police have seized 210 kg of marijuana from Jahada Rural Municipality, a border area of Morang.
The marijuana was found on Monday night, packed in black plastic and left in a rice field near Naya Basti in Jahada Rural Municipality-1.
A joint team deployed from the Armed Police Force Nepal’s Battalion No. 3 Headquarters in Kankalini, Morang, and the Border Outpost (BOP) in Jahada found the marijuana hidden in the field, said Superintendent of Police Gehendra Bahadur Bhandari, head of the Armed Police Force in Morang.
The 210 kg of marijuana was found unclaimed in the border area. Police said it is not yet clear who hid it there.
