Nepal’s Tilak Pun Magar and Gyanu Awale have been eliminated from archery at the 20th Asian Games.
In the match held at Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park multipurpose hall in Japan, Nepal’s Tilak lost in the recurve men’s singles event against Qatar. He was defeated 6-2 by Qatar’s Ahmad Al-Saadah.
Tilak managed to take only one round against Ahmad.
In the recurve women’s singles, Nepal’s Gyanu lost to Qatar’s Rim Al-Sayed. She was defeated 7-1, having levelled the score to add one point in the second round.
The pair of Tilak and Gyanu had already been eliminated earlier from the recurve mixed team event, losing 6-2 to the UAE pair of Aysha Alali and Khalifa Al-Qabi.
With this, Nepal’s challenge in archery has come to an end.
