At the 20th Asian Games, Nepal’s Abhishek Bastola and Pradip Khadka have advanced to the second round of men’s doubles tennis after winning their opening-round match.
In Sunday’s match at Nagoya City Higashiyama Park Tennis Centre, the Nepali pair defeated Mongolia’s Munkhbaatar Badrakh and Urnukh Zolbadrakh 6–2, 4–6, 14–12. Nepal took the first set comfortably but lost the second, before closing out the decisive third-set tiebreak in their favour.
Separately, in women’s singles, Nepal’s Shivali Gurung was eliminated in the first round.
