Nepal has climbed two places to 14th in the ICC’s T20 International rankings.
According to the updated rankings released by the ICC on Friday, Nepal moved up two spots to reach 14th position.
The improvement came after Nepal beat Afghanistan by 5 wickets on Friday in the ongoing Asian Games competition in Nagoya, Japan.
Nepal restricted Afghanistan to 102 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs, then chased down the 103-run target in 17.2 overs.
Kushal Bhurtel took 4 wickets and Lalit Rajbanshi took 3, while Sandeep Jora scored 34 and Rohit Paudel finished unbeaten on 33.
Nepal will next play their final group-stage match against Japan on Saturday.
