The Parliamentary Hearing Committee under the Federal Parliament has begun the parliamentary hearing process for ambassadorial nominees recommended by the government for 13 countries.
A meeting of the committee held at Singha Durbar on Thursday decided to move forward with the hearing process for the proposed ambassadors.
Committee Chair Bodh Narayan Shrestha said complaints against the nominees have been invited for 10 days.
According to Shrestha, members of the public can submit information or complaints regarding any of the proposed ambassadors within 10 days from the date of publication of the notice. Complaints can be submitted electronically or through any other means, provided they include clear grounds and supporting information.
The committee has invited complaints to inform the public about the individuals nominated for the diplomatic posts and to gather any relevant information concerning their suitability.
The Cabinet, at its meeting last Friday, had recommended ambassadors for 13 countries, including India and China.
