Dolakha, September 22
The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Dolakha has formed a district secretariat to expand its organisation and streamline party activities. A meeting of the party’s District Coordination Committee appointed coordinators for all nine local levels, formed two departments and established a district advisory council.
The meeting appointed Arjun Karki as head of the Organisation Department, Sobhit Upreti as deputy head, and Nishan Budhathoki as secretary. It also assigned office-bearers and members of the district committee responsibilities for coordination and facilitation at the local level.
The party has appointed District Chair Dinesh Basnet as coordinator for Bhimeshwar Municipality. Similarly, Vice-Chair Krishna Bahadur Khadka has been assigned responsibility for Melung, Secretary Ramesh Kumar Shrestha for Baiteshwar and Joint Secretary Arjun Karki for Tamakoshi.
Secretary Shrestha said the new arrangement was introduced to support the expansion of the party organisation and its activities at the local level. A nine-member department has also been formed, with at least one representative from each local level. RSP Dolakha has additionally formed a district advisory council, with Babulal Lama of Baiteshwar appointed as its chair.
Central committee member and lawmaker Jagadish Kharel, lawmaker Smriti Senchuri and Provincial Committee member Prakash Khatri attended the meeting.
