Kathmandu, September 15
Nepal batter Rohit Paudel and UAE players Adeeb Usmani and Khuzaima Bin Tanveer have been penalised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for breaches of the code of conduct during the final of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup.
The ICC fined Rohit Paudel and Usmani 15 percent of their match fees under Level 1 of the code of conduct.
The two players were found to have failed to follow the umpire’s instructions while attempting to settle a dispute between them during the 31st over of Nepal’s innings.
UAE’s Tanveer was fined 10 percent of his match fee after striking the stumps with his bat following his dismissal during the 46th over of the UAE innings.
One demerit point has also been added to each of the three players’ disciplinary records.
As the incidents were their first offences under the ICC Code of Conduct in the past 24 months, no further suspension has been imposed.
According to the ICC, all three players admitted the charges and accepted the proposed sanctions, meaning no formal hearing was required.
