Tourism Board to run Information Desk to share updates on tourists

Kathmandu, August 31

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is to run an Information Desk to share details on tourists missing and rescued from the Bhotekoshi flash flood that occurred on August 26.

A joint meeting of officials from the Tourism Board, NTB, Tourist Police and organisations from the tourism fraternity decided to establish such a desk to share information while expediting the search and rescue operations for those missing tourists.

Director General of the Department, Ramkrishna Lamichhane, said a decision was made to ensure coordination for the search of missing tourists and implement an integrated information system through the desk.
