US announces $3.6 million in aid for flood-hit Nepal

Kathmandu, August 30

The United States has announced more than $3.6 million in life-saving humanitarian assistance for people affected by flooding in Nepal.

In a message posted on social media platform X on Sunday, the US Department of State said that the United States stands with the people of Nepal during this time of disaster.

Under the announced assistance, 10,000 flood-affected households will receive emergency food supplies for three months.

The department also stated that the safety of US citizens remains its highest priority.
