Private helicopter operators will not be required to obtain government approval to conduct flights for the rescue of flood victims.
A massive flood originating from Tibet has caused damage in various parts of Nepal after entering the country through Rasuwa. The flooding has caused extensive damage to physical infrastructure, while the exact number of people who remain out of contact is still unknown.
The Office of the Prime Minister has directed that private helicopters may conduct rescue flights for flood victims without obtaining prior government approval.
