Kathmandu, August 24
The Janmat Party, led by Dr C.K. Raut, will hold its second general convention next month, in September. The convention will take place on September 25 and 25.
A secretariat meeting held on Monday set a schedule to complete ward- and municipality-level processes by September 6.
The meeting also decided to keep the active membership status intact for all members who remain on record as of September. Since only those who have renewed their membership by paying a set fee will be eligible to become convention delegates or candidates, party cadres have been urged to pay the fee and renew their membership.
A secretariat meeting has been called for September 7 to take further decisions regarding the convention.
