Parbat Kumar Karki appointed executive director of Citizen Investment Fund

The government has appointed Parbat Kumar Karki as executive director of the Citizen Investment Fund. Karki, a permanent resident of Udayapur, was appointed by the Cabinet meeting of Bhadau 3 under Section 42(1) of the Citizen Investment Fund Act, 2047.

A retired executive director of Nepal Rastra Bank, Karki previously served as the fund’s executive director as well, having been selected for the post through open competition on January 17, 2024. He also has experience as CEO of Nepal Gramin Bikas Bank and Kisan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha.

Karki holds a Master of Banking and Finance (MBF) from Griffith University in Australia and a master’s degree in management from Tribhuvan University. He has also received international training in central banking, financial stability, and financial market analysis.
