A defendant who had been convicted in a banking crime case and was on the run has been arrested in Saptari.
A police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur, arrested Damodar Rajak of Tirhut Rural Municipality-3, who had been found guilty in the banking crime case by the Saptari District Court, Rajbiraj.
According to the court’s verdict, Rajak has been sentenced to one month in prison and fined Rs 350,000.
Saptari Police Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Hemraj Ghimire said Rajak was produced before the Saptari District Court, Rajbiraj, for enforcement of the verdict.
