Google has set a date to publicly unveil its new laptop, the ‘Googlebook’. The company said it will host a live media event in New York City, USA, on September 15.
At the event, Google will provide detailed information about the Googlebook’s software, its integration with Gemini AI, and its underlying Android codebase. Journalists attending the event will also be able to try out Googlebook devices developed by hardware partners, including Lenovo, ASUS and HP.
Earlier this year, at ‘The Android Show’, Google gave the first glimpse of its new premium laptop series. According to the company, the laptops have been developed from the ground up with Gemini AI at their core.
During the demonstration, Google highlighted features that allow users to create their own widgets with Gemini’s assistance, as well as ‘Magic Pointer’ and improved connectivity with Android smartphones.
However, the company did not release further details about the Googlebook after the event. Google also provided little information about the laptops during its recent Pixel 11 launch event.
The company had earlier said it would provide more information about the Googlebook in collaboration with hardware partners such as Lenovo, ASUS and HP.
Now, the date for an event to provide detailed information about the Googlebook platform has been confirmed. At the New York event, Google is expected to reveal more details about the Googlebook’s software, AI features and hardware developed by its partner companies.
